Community Insurance Center is a member of the inner-city group of companies who share common ownership and mission. From our start-up, more than 24 years ago, we remain true to one mission, to help our clients and community succeed by helping our clients and community manage risk.
All companies in the group are privately held. While we have an advisory board and many knowledgeable people we look to for advice, we don’t answer to a board of directors or hedge fund managers.
We answer only to you, our clients and community. Also, because we are a social entrepreneurial company, we understand that profit is important to sustainability and long term viability, but we never see it as the only factor in any decision we make or service we provide.
Mr. Metcalfe started Community Insurance Center in 1962. He believed that high-quality insurance and risk management services are critical to the economic development and stability of a community. Mr. Metcalfe chose the name Community Center Insurance Agency and later changed it to Community Insurance Center to highlight that central role our services play in the lives and businesses in the community.
At Community Insurance Center family and team mean the same thing. Our community is small but tightly connected.
